Memorial Park – closing from 8pm
Due to abuse of the Memorial Park in the evenings (littering and legal high cannisters), it has been agreed with Council Chairmen that the gates will be locked at 8pm each night for the time being. It will be reopened again for legitimate users in the mornings.
The litter in the park is a daily curse. Football players who train regularly are the main suspects. Also the skate park has 3 bins and the rubbish is a disgrace. Someone is clearing up the rubbish and the we as residents are picking up the costs no doubt. I am embarrassed about the mess. If you are looking for volunteers please let me know I want my park to be clean and tidy so it can be enjoyed by all but maybe schools need to get back to basics and teach about keeping Britain tidy.
