Coleshill Cemetery
Coleshill Cemetery is managed by Coleshill Town Council and its dedicated team of grounds staff who maintain the grounds.
Coleshill Cemetery is located just off Coleshill High Street, behind the Parish Church, with beautiful views of the Blythe Valley and surrounding villages.
The Cemetery consists of traditional graves, lawn graves and cremated remains plots. Currently Coleshill Town Council are interring in the lawn graves to the North of the Cemetery and the ashes plots to the North-East, plots are available for residents and ex-residents of Coleshill only.
The Garden of Remembrance located in the Dell is specifically set aside for the scattering of ashes. As well as carrying out Scatterings for residents and ex-residents of Coleshill Scatterings are also available for non-residents.

Opening Times
The Cemetery is open 08:00 – 16:00 daily (09:00 Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day). To avoid being locked into the cemetery please vacate the carpark promptly before 16:00.
There are limited car parking spaces, on funeral days the main car gate will be locked for 1 hour prior to the arrival of the funeral cars and remain locked until they have exited onto Maxstoke Lane.

Coleshill Town Council hold the Interment/Burial paper records from 1893 to the present-day. Information from this archive can be requested from Coleshill Town Council on: zoe@coleshilltowncouncil.gov.ukColeshill Town Council reserve the right to charge for family history searches.

Monumental Inscriptions
In the 1980’s Coleshill’s Women’s Institute completed the Memorial Inscriptions Project. Transcribing the inscriptions and mapping the headstones in the Churchyard and Dell. This project can be found here:
Coleshill Town Council successfully applied for and were granted Commonwealth War Grave signage for Coleshill Cemetery. The Cemetery is home to five Commonwealth War Graves and each grave is maintained yearly by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
The CWGC is a global organisation, caring for war graves at 23,000 locations in more than 150 countries and territories. They commemorate almost 1.7 million individuals, ensuring that all the Commonwealth men and women who died during both world wars are commemorated in a manner befitting their sacrifice.
