Royal British Legion appeal for Remembrance Day parade marshals

This year’s remembrance parade will be held on Sunday 8 November. In order for the parade to proceed the Royal British Legion are appealing for marshals to monitor road junctions and enforce a rolling road block.

Upcoming Coleshill Remembers Vigils

Simon Toon, member of Coleshill Remembers and a former Royal Naval Officer, is leading a series of vigils to commemorate the centenary of the deaths of all Coleshill’s WWI casualties. During the vigils Simon outlines each man’s connection with Coleshill, family life, military service and the circumstances of his death. A period of silent reflection follows and then a half-muffled bell is rung 100 times.
